KIMBLADE X Recognized in Silicon Valley

KIMBLADE at SVIIF 2026

KIMBLADE participated in the Silicon Valley International Invention Festival 2026 (SVIIF 2026), held in Santa Clara, California, from August 14–16, 2026.

Bringing together inventors and innovative technologies from around the world, SVIIF provided the stage for KIMBLADE to showcase the core technology behind its next-generation wiper blade, KIMBLADE X.

At this year’s event, KIMBLADE’s Wiper Blade Strip technology received both a Gold Medal and the IFIA Best Invention Award, marking a significant milestone for KIMBLADE.

Cars Have Become Quieter. So Why Is Wiper Noise Still the Same?

Cars have advanced rapidly in recent years.

As the industry has shifted from internal combustion engine vehicles to hybrids and electric vehicles, vehicle interiors have become much quieter than before, making even small sounds during driving an important factor in overall vehicle quality.

But when it rains, there is still one familiar sound.

It is the “clunk” or “thud” that occurs when the wiper changes direction — known as reversal noise.

The quieter the cabin becomes, the more noticeable this brief sound can be.

It was this very issue that led KIMBLADE to begin developing KIMBLADE X.

CLOSE THE GAP. END THE CLUNK.

Conventional wiper blades can tilt as they change direction, causing the blade position to shift during reversal.

To better control this movement and impact, KIMBLADE developed a new X-Geometry blade structure.

KIMBLADE X is designed with a unique internal X-shaped structure that helps the blade maintain a stable shape throughout the wiping motion, including during direction changes.

As a result, KIMBLADE focused not simply on creating a wiper that clears water effectively, but one that moves more smoothly and changes direction more quietly.

At SVIIF 2026, KIMBLADE presented the causes of reversal noise and the structural solution developed through KIMBLADE X.

Beyond Noise Reduction: Core Wiper Performance

The X-structure of KIMBLADE X was designed for more than just reducing reversal noise.

Focused Pressure

Designed to help the blade maintain more stable contact with the windshield, allowing pressure to be transferred effectively during wiping.

X-Structure

Designed to absorb and stabilize the movement and impact that occur when the blade changes direction.

Long-Term Shape Retention

Developed to help the blade maintain a stable shape through repeated use and exposure to changing environmental conditions.

Built-in Water Repellency

Made with a specially formulated silicone material designed to provide water-repellent performance during wiping.

Premium Silicone

Uses a silicone material developed for both flexibility and durability, helping maintain stable wiping performance over extended use.

KIMBLADE X was developed to bring quiet operation, stable windshield contact, durability, and water repellency together in a single blade structure.

Two Awards at SVIIF 2026

At this year’s exhibition, KIMBLADE’s Wiper Blade Strip technology was awarded a Gold Medal following the judging process.

It was also selected for the IFIA Best Invention Award, presented by the International Federation of Inventors’ Associations (IFIA).

Wiper blades have been a familiar automotive component for generations.

However, because wipers are such a familiar part of everyday driving, small inconveniences can easily go unnoticed. KIMBLADE focused on one of those overlooked issues and continued researching new blade structures to address it at its source.

These awards represent meaningful recognition of the technological direction KIMBLADE has continued to pursue, further validating that approach on the international stage.

A Better Wiper Starts with a Better Structure.

The role of a wiper may seem simple.

When it rains, it clears the windshield and helps maintain the driver’s visibility.

But KIMBLADE believes there is still much that can be improved within that simple movement.

Quieter.
More stable.
Built to last longer.

KIMBLADE will continue to take a fresh look at the structures and user experiences that have long been taken for granted in conventional wipers, and improve them through new technology.
